Yes! Our Rubber Flash Puck is built to withstand extreme conditions, including slapshots at speeds up to 100 mph in freezing Canadian winters. Even professional players would find it hard to break!

Note: Our original Flash Puck, made with a hard plastic case, is ideal for light puck handling in the dark. Avoid slapshots with this version in very cold weather, as extreme conditions may cause the plastic to crack.

Our rechargeable Flash Pucks last up to 72 hours on a full charge, depending on weather conditions. For the best performance:

• Return the puck to its charger after each use.
• This helps keep the battery fully charged and prevents misplacement or loss in the snow.

For a full charge, charge the puck for 8+ hours. For pucks completely drained of battery, it is best to leave them charging overnight or up to 24 hours.

To ensure your puck lasts longer:

• Avoid extreme cold for the hard plastic version.
• Store your puck indoors after use.
• Recharge the puck regularly to maintain battery performance.
• Avoid letting the puck's battery completely drain to maintain optimal performance and longevity.

Magnetic activation prevents accidental power-on during shipping and storage, helping preserve battery life and ensuring products arrive ready to use.

Earlier versions (1.0 and 2.0) may still be owned by consumers or in retail locations, but only Flash Puck 3.0 is currently produced.

Flash Puck 1.0 (Original)
These have a manual on/off switch for easy operation.

Flash Puck 2.0 (Tap-Activated Rechargeable)
Uses tap activation technology. A light tap activates the puck for 1 minute. If unused, it automatically turns off to save power.

Flash Puck 3.0 (Magnetic Power-Saving — Current Version)
Activated with a magnet & tap to turn on. Auto-off after 3 minutes.
Optional power-down: swipe the magnet again to fully shut off (best for battery life)
Rechargeable: place on charger overnight. Red light = charging connection made.

Some earlier rechargeable versions could activate during shipping. Flash Puck 3.0 fixes this with magnetic power-saving activation.

• 1.0: Switch on/off, battery powered
• 2.0: Tap-activated, rechargeable
• 3.0 (new): Magnet activates power-saving mode → tap to use, auto-off, magnet again to shut down

Use the magnet to fully power down when not in use.

A red light turns on when properly connected to the charge pad.

To replace the battery in the original Flash Puck with the on-off button:

1. Open the puck using the three screws in the center.
2. Replace the battery with a standard 22A battery.

If your puck won’t light up when tapped, it may need charging:

1. Place the puck on the charging pad overnight.
2. Remove it in the morning and give it a firm tap to activate.
